Helpston Playhouse and Under Fives
Open every day during term time, Helpston Before and After School Club is situated in its own secure building and garden within the grounds of John Clare School and is open to all children of primary school age.
Admission prices include drinks and snacks which vary from fruit and toast to pancakes and yoghurt - all in line with Ofsted's healthy eating requirements. Children are free to choose their play and can participate in any of the planned activities of simply pull up a bean bag and relax. All activities are carefully planned by club supervisor, Nicola Richards, who has a diploma in play work. She also has all the relevant child protection training and has completed autism training. All staff at the club are first aid trained.
The club is open Monday to Thursday from 8.00 am - 8.50 am and from 3.30 pm - 5.30 pm. Admission is £2.95 for each morning session (£2.30 for siblings) and £5.75 for each afternoon session (£4.75 for siblings). On Fridays the club is open as normal in the morning but runs from 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm in the afternoon. Admission to the Friday afternoon session costs an additional £3 per child.
