Local artists and photographers

The illustrations and photographs on this site have been provided by a number of local artists, photographers and amateur historians. The Barn Committee is extremely grateful for their generosity in offering their works and collections to be displayed on the site.

Some of these contributors are listed below

Ivan Cumberpatch - a long-time resident of Helpston, Ivan's wildlife pictures illustrate many of the individual species accounts in the Helpston's natural environment section of the website, including red kite and goosander.

Carry Akroyd - Carry has a particularly affinity with Helpston, many of her works depict the local countryside or are closely associated with the works of John Clare. Examples of her work can be found illustrating the Langdyke Countryside Trust and the local environments pages of this website. Carry's works are exhibit at the Annakinn art gallery in the village during the annual John Clare festival. Further details of her work can be found on her website www.carryakroyd.co.uk.

Richard Keymer  - is chairman of the Langdyke Countryside Trust and a resident of Etton. Richard has developed an extensive collection of old photographs of village life in Helpston and Etton and is writing a book on the history of Etton. Many of his photographs can be seen in the website's photo library.

Peter Moyse - a resident of Helpston for many years, Peter is one of the founders and long-term supporters of the John Clare Society. Many of his photographs can be seen in the website's photo library.  He is also the narrator of the Clare poems on the website.

Cottier and Sidaway - are a local design agency, based in Potton, Beds. This website was created and designed by their team, including lead designer Barry Jarvis. you can see more examples of their work on their website; www.cottiersidawaydesign.co.uk and www.bjarvis.com

Richard Astle - as chairman of the Botolph's Barn Committee from 2003-06, Richard wrote much of the copy on this website and supervised its overall design and development. He now acts as editor of the website and can be contacted on 01733 252376.
