The John Clare Society

The John Clare Society was founded in 1981 to promote a wider and deeper knowledge of this remarkable poet.

The Society publishes a quarterly newsletter and an annual Journal. It also arranges exhibitions, day schools, poetry readings and conferences.

The annual John Clare festival takes place in Helpston every July which includes talks and exhibitions about the poet and his life.
