St Botolph's Church, Helpston
The church of St Botolph is an ancient building of stone mainly in the
early English, decorated and perpendicular styles with a little Norman
work remaining. It consists of chancel, clerestoried nave with
north and south aisles, a south porch and an embattled western tower
with a short octagonal spire, containing a clock and three bells. The
lower part of the tower is early Norman and stands within the nave and
on earlier Saxon foundations, which were exposed in 1864/5 during rebuilding.
